Murder Suspect Charged In Alexandria Homicide: Police

Authorities have arrested and charged a 28-year-old man in Alexandria's first homicide of the year, they said.

Dontae LaShawn Drumgold, of Prince Willian County, is believed to have killed 25-year-old Elijah Williams, who was found dead in on the sidewalk around 6:50 a.m. on the 4500 block of Raleigh Avenue on March 23, police said.

Drumgold has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, police said.

He was being held without bail in the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center.
